New York based Leila Heller Gallery opens an exhibition showcasing Zaha Hadid’s design in its Dubai gallery. This is one of the largest display of Hadid’s works in the region, spanning the breath of her product designs from the early 80s – her early works – to the 2015 Liquid Glacial Collection furniture range.
On this occasion Hadid presents over 30 bodies of design work, exemplifying her transition after the 1990s into her later phase. The London based architect’s ethic of deep environmental and physical inter-connectedness is exemplified in the Tau vases (2015), whose intricate pleats seek to portray the formal complexity of natural growth systems.
Also featured in the exhibition are some of her works from the world of fashion, jewellery which have been displayed for the very first time.
The exhibition is open to public from January 18th to February 29th 2016.
